Enterprise Data Architect

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will leverage new and leading data architectures to power business and technology transformation; shape, sell, and deliver strategic data architecture while continually building your knowledge of emerging technologies and data architecture trends; and finally, apply innovative solutions that will provide value for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, data requirements, and technical challenges.
  • Assess clients' existing data architecture, including databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies and tools that can enhance clients' data capabilities.
  • Design end-to-end data architecture solutions that align with clients' strategic goals and industry best practices.
  • Design migration strategies to move clients' data infrastructure to modern database platforms (including experiences with Databricks, mandatory; Snowflake, nice-to-have.)
  • Lead the implementation of data migration projects and other data related projects working closely with client and Daugherty consulting teams.
  • Develop data models, data flows, and data integration strategies to support clients' business processes and analytics needs.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on data governance, data security, and data quality management.
  • Conduct data assessments and audits to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data management, analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on modern data technologies and practices.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the growth of our data practice through thought leadership and knowledge sharing.
  • Build a strong professional network to open opportunities for consulting engagements and partnerships.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to connect with potential clients and collaborators.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of experience in designing and developing end-to-end data solutions with an emphasis on data architecture, data modeling, and data integration.
  • Five (5) years of experience in consulting or related fields such as IT services, technology strategy, or business advisory.
  • Track record of successfully delivering consulting engagements and driving results for clients.
  • Experience leading data migration projects from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Expertise in modern database technologies including Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven ability to translate business concepts into data models that power meaningful data insights.
  • Deep understanding of data technology and its applications in various industries.
  • Solid understanding of business principles and practices to help clients successfully align technology with their strategic objectives.
  • Analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend technology solutions that drive value and innovation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset.
  • Support sales initiatives and contribute to solution design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in cloud computing or data management, desired.
