Overview

Daugherty Business Solutions is adding Senior Software Engineers with AWS, Java, Spring who have previous consulting experience or who are interested in consulting. Must be able to adapt to new client environments and learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Daugherty's clients that include Fortune 500 companies across various industries.
• Designing, developing, and testing application code.
• Solving problems using modern languages and frameworks.
• Working with business analysts to understand and implement complex business functionality.
• Creating well-designed, well-implemented data layers.
• Being a member of an Agile team (standups, estimation, iterative development CI, demos, retrospectives).
• Collaborating with DevOps, Release Engineering, and Operations to automate deployments.
• Analyzing application specifications and technology approaches to ensure business requirements are met and scalable for future product releases.
• Managing a team of developers and analysts throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Passion for software development with a strong customer focus
• 5+ years of an established track record implementing large-scale, high-quality software applications
• Extensive hands-on experience developing Java based Spring Boot applications
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Couch, DynamoDB
• Expertise in implementing scalable, distributed, and highly available systems on AWS using Lambda/Serverless, S3, IAM, ECS, or EKS, Dynamo, API Gateway, etc. 
• Experience designing and implementing a microservice architecture using event driven architecture and REST APIs
• Additional languages Node.js, Python, GOLang, C#, Rust or equivalent a plus
• Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks are nice to have: React, Angular, Vue, Backbone, Ember, etc...)
• Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on AWS
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized software
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or other IAC (infrastructure as code) tooling
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and tools similar to Jenkins, Bamboo and GIT
• Enjoy a fast-paced and challenging, but extremely collaborative team environment working to solve complex problems for our clients
